Description
Yonex is always making great racquets better. The new VCore 100L Gen. 8 model is no exception. More feel, more precision, and more spin gets you more wins. And, now with more aesthetic appeal. How did they do it?
Isometric- Developed over 30 years ago, the ISOMETRIC™ design increases the sweet spot by 7%*. Compared to a conventional round frame, a square-shaped ISOMETRIC™ racquet generates a larger sweet spot by optimizing the intersection of the main and cross strings.
ISOMETRIC™ technology delivers greater control without sacrificing power.
Aero Trench- To achieve faster head speeds for increased spin potential, the new Aero Trench reduces drag by uniquely hiding the grommets located at the top of the racquet frame.
Liner Tech- Newly engineered straight hole grommets allow more string movement on off-centered shots resulting in more spin and control.
VDM (Vibration Dampening Mesh)- First used in our snowboards to reduce vibrations at impact, Vibration Dampening Mesh (VDM) is now used in four of our racquet series. VDM is a stretchy mesh material that is wrapped around the graphite within the grip to filter unwanted vibrations and improve touch and precision.
2G-NAMD™ FLEX FORCE- Aggressive, attacking spin for pinpoint control is achieved through a carbon nanotube structure that binds the graphite fibers together, which reduces energy loss. Due to its resilient properties, the material flexes and provides quick snapback.
Namd™ is technology developed by Nitta Co., Ltd. to uniformly disperse carbon nanotubes in carbon fiber composites.
Servo Filter- A transparent and elastic film placed between graphite layers helps bond the layers while maintaining its elastic characteristics even after the molding process. This unique film absorbs unwanted vibrations, provides fine-tuned flex and snapback to each shot, delivering precise sensory feedback from the ball to the hand.
SERVO FILTER is a vibration-absorbing film developed by the Mitsubishi Chemical Group, which has high bonding properties with graphite and excels in both flexibility and durability

Ray's assessment- This is one of the best frames for an intermediate female or young top-ranked junior 12-13 years of age. The VCore 100L Gen.8 has it all: access to spin, good precision, solid feel, and a little pop for the big serve. You have waited years to be good enough for a racquet like this. You are now too advanced for the lightweight beginner adult frames and are ready to take the trophy. Swing for the fences and know this racquet is gonna provide some sweet spin. Use Yonex PolyTour Rev as a whole set or blend it with Tecnifibre Razor Soft in the crosses for a little more pocketing. If you used the Gen. 7 model, you will find the v8 a little softer with a a bit more pocketing. This racquet provides a little more touch and whip. So, go out and get that kick serve and drop shot working in a way you never thought possible.

Ray's assessment- This has always been a great frame for the our junior players moving up in weight from the super lite frames at 255-270 grams. This is best in the hands of advanced 12-14 year old kids and intermediate female players looking for spin and precision without the weight of 285g+ frames. Keep the sweet spot big with arm-friendly multifilament string like Wilson NXT Power and Yonex REXIS Speed.
