Yonex is always making great racquets better. The new VCore seventh generation models are no exception. More feel, more precision, and more spin gets you more wins. How did they do it?
Silicone Oil Infused Grommets- lubricants for the strings. This produces more spin and and a bigger sweet spot.
New Frame Shape- A thinner beam increases aerodynamics and head speed, and a 1.9% wider string bed width across the 2 and 10 o'clock position increases ball contact area for a larger sweet spot and increased launch angle.
Headsize- 98 s.i.
Weight- 285 g / 10.1 oz (unstrung)
Length- 27 in.
Balance- 325 (unstrung)
Beam- 22.5mm / 23mm / 21mm
String Pattern- 16 x 19
Ray's assessment- So, you are that ridiculously talented. 12-14 year old kid that is craving precision, but you are not yet strong enough to move up to 295g+ frames. We don't well alot of these, because there just aren't that many of you walking the planet. But I would definitely look at this frame before you look at the Wilson PS 97L. This is the more solid frame with bigger sweet spot. Keep the string-bed arm-friendly with Toalson T8 or Tecnifibre X-One Bi-Phase. Both come in red and look great in this frame.
